Spider ball pythons are by far one of the coolest morphs in existence today. They come to the table with two positive attributes...in the looks department at least. They are both a color and pattern mutation.
In addition, Spiders come with a personality that is unrivaled in ball python morphs. They are eager to be held and don't display the fussiness towards food that typical ball pythons sometimes do. It shouldn't come as much of a surprise when they are ready and waiting when the dinner bell rings.
Spiders have huge potential when it comes to crossing them into other morphs. So far they have crossed well with many mutations and each and every time have produces spectacular designer morphs that are some of the best today.
Spiders are the perfect ball python. They eat...they grow
...they breed young! They are also very cool to look at!
My personal favorites are the Bumble Bee and Ghost Spiders. But I can hardly wait until several other crosses are developed. Imagine what a Caramel Spider will look like! WOW!
Spiders have a very reduced pattern and my personal preference are ones that display no spotting or alien faces. Their sides should be high with white scaling and their head pattern should be unique and distinct.
Talk about head patterns. We were the first to produce Spiders in Canada and our second Spider hatched came out with a very distinct head pattern indeed! Check out pic #4 on the right. He has a perfect maple leaf on his head. Can you beat that! It blew me away when I saw his little head piping out of the egg. We call him 'Captain Canada'. |
