The Pastel Jungle is by far the most valuable snake in our collection. I know what you're thinking. "There are lots of snakes that are more valuable than pastels!" You're right but Pastel Jungles put us on the map and got us firmly rolling on the road to success.

Pastel Jungles were the first morph to really catch my eye and they were more affordable than most other morphs at the time. I wanted many recessive morphs like Albinos and Pieds, but I could only afford a pastel male at the time. Soon after I discovered Greg Graziani's website. He was the breeder that proved out Pastel Jungles, so why not go right to the source? Besides that, after talking to Greg, I realized that he was an excellent person to deal with and we soon became friends.

In the summer of 2001 I purchased an adult Pastel Jungle male from Greg. He was from the very first clutch of Pastels ever produced in 1997. That fall I started breeding him to a group of normal females. It was my first breeding season. With limited females available, I decided to concentrate on Pastels and was fortunate enough to produce 10 clutches. Not bad for breeding 11 females to one Pastel! Someone had told me I was crazy for buying him for $3,500 US. Go ahead...call me crazy!

I try to be very selective in my breeding. We have been able to produce Pastels with vibrant yellow and lots of blushing. We have also been fortunate enough to produce several Super Pastels and I believe the first to produce F3 Pastel Jungles. (F2 Pastel X F2 Pastel)

Pastel Jungles are a must-have morph in any collection. They are a great foundation morph! And they look damn good too!
