Although I have other Granites in my collection, ones with stripes, ones without, I feel this girl has some potential in proving herself out as being genetic. She has all the right markings and is similar to other morphs that have gone on to be proven genetic.

She is a perfect candidate to be bred to a Yellow Belly or even Mojave. I might even try to cross her with a Lesser Platty one day. Who knows, she just might pop out a Leusistic. Stranger things have happened.

I didn't purchase her as a morph and she certainly wasn't priced as one. If she turns out to normal, then at least she is a little different.

There have been a few granites proven genetic recently and at this point they are dominant. If this is the case then a cross with another co-dom could result in something very exciting. I doubt she will be ready to be bred until 2006 so I will have to be patient until then. Hopefully she will be worth the wait.

I'll try to provide updates as they occur. This is another project to stay tuned too.
